Religion, more specifically faith has, like almost everything else in our society has become polarized. The irony is that the very discussion about things which should define tolerance, has become itself intolerant. How do we reconcile this and how can faith, doubt and even uncertainty become mainstream again. How can we push back against the forces of religious and political extremism in a way that renews individual freedom. Frank Schaeffer is a man who has seen these issues from all sides.
