My conversation with Anna David:
"To discover to the world something which deeply concerns it, and of which it was previously ignorant; to prove to it that it had been mistaken on some vital point of temporal or spiritual interest, is as important a service as a human being can render to his fellow creatures..." Anna David, in a new book Reality Matters: 19 Writers Come Clean About the Shows We Can't Stop Watching
has assembled 19 serious writers, including L'enfant terrible James Frey, to give their views on this genre that seems to have such a hold on so many.
